****ADULT PROGRAM --- MUST BE 18+ TO REGISTER*****

Join us for this month's Sustainable Swaps : DIY Vinegar Cleaners and Baking Soda Air Fresheners.

We will be creating one jar of an infused vinegar all purpose cleaner and one jar of an infused baking soda air freshener to help eliminate toxic chemicals from our homes.

Vinegar-based cleaners can be useful for a variety of cleaning tasks because vinegar has many properties that make it effective:

Acidity: Vinegar's acidity is strong enough to remove stains and deposits, but mild enough to not damage surfaces and fabrics. Vinegar can have a pH as low as 2.2, which is about 10 times more acidic than soda.

Odor absorption: Vinegar can absorb and neutralize odors by breaking down odor-causing molecules. It can be used to eliminate cooking smells, musty odors, and pet odors.

Chemical-free: Vinegar is a natural, chemical-free alternative to other cleaners.

Baking soda can be used as an air freshener because it neutralizes acidic and basic odor molecules, making them odor-free. Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate, absorbs acidic smells like spoiled food, making it a good choice for refrigerators. It can also be used in other areas of the home, such as closets, upholstery, and carpets.

Registration is required as space is limited to 20 people.  Priority will be given to those who were registered for the earlier program that was postponed.  You will be notified by email once your registration is approved.  Thank you for your understanding!
