Founded in 1913 by the Science Teachers’ Bureau, the Boston Children’s Museum is the second oldest children’s museum in the world and one of the few that maintain a collection. Designed for both children and families, the Museum exhibits focus on science, culture, environmental awareness, health & fitness, and the arts, emphasizing hands-on engagement and learning through experience, and employing play as a tool to spark the inherent creativity, curiosity, and imagination of children.

Located in an historic old fire station in North Easton, MA, the Children’s Museum in Easton is an educational, cultural, and social learning center for children and families—with a primary focus on children ages 1-8. There are 3 floors of themed interactive exhibits (both indoor and outdoor), a MakerSpace, and more than 100 programs, classes, and special events, focusing on the topics of science, movement and music, healthy living/wellness and creative arts. Old Sturbridge Village, the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast, depicts a rural New England town of the 1830s. Situated on more than 200 scenic acres are more than 40 original buildings, including homes, meetinghouses, a district school, country store, bank, working farm, three water-powered mills, and trade shops. Visitors can see heritage breed farm animals and interact with authentically costumed staff. Special events take place through the year. A gift shop and bookstore are located on the premises.

This pass must be picked up and returned at the library. Passes can be checked out a day prior to the registration if avaliable. Passes must be returned either the date of the reservation, or by 9:30am the following day.
Any passes reserved for Sunday must be picked up on Saturday, and returned to the library by 9:30am on Tuesday.
All passes must be returned either at the front desk or in the AV bookdrop slot inside the case it was checked out in.
Plimoth Patuxet Museums

Plimoth Patuxet Museums offers a living history that tells the story of the English colonists who became known as “Pilgrims” and the Native Americans with whom they interacted. A big draw is the re-creation of the original settlement, populated with interpreters in period dress with whom one may interact that are based on actual historical figures. Native People from various nations in historically accurate dress provide information about the Wampanoag—the first tribe the Pilgrims encountered—at a home site based on how the group would have lived in the 17th century. In addition to the two settlements, the museum includes a visitor center, the Craft Center, barns that contain rare and heritage animal breeds, and a grist mill that manufactures cornmeal. Plymouth Patuxet Museums is also responsible for the replica of the Mayflower, the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World.
